Mike Ventura
Mike is a bleeding edge marketing innovator when it comes to the use of interactive technology and applications in driving brand equity and performance. He is a leading proponent and practitioner of social media marketing and has created innovative strategies and tactics to engage the consumer.
He is a successful experiential marketer with a knack for placing brands in unique environments that promote consumer reaction and adoption. He’s a brand strategist of the first caliber. Some of the marketers that he has worked with include Toyota, Anheuser Busch, Georgia Tourism, Lincoln-Mercury, Cox Television Stations, Pepsi Cola, Best Western Hotels, BellSouth, Delta Air Lines, Cadillac and Fox Sports.
Mike has also consulted some of America’s top media companies in the area of sales and marketing, counting ABC Television, Fox Sports, Cox Television, Tribune Newspapers and Belo Broadcasting as clients and encompassing 20 newspapers and 33 television stations in large and major markets. He’s been a keynote speaker for the Newspaper Advertising Association, Television Bureau or Advertising, American Marketing Association, Southern California Ad Club and the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.
On the personal side, Mike loves ocean sailing (he once sailed his 35 foot sailboat to Cuba), riding his horse in the North Georgia Mountains, deep sea fishing, road trips to out-of-the-ways places and St. George Island, Florida. He holds a valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License for yachts up to 150 feet. He describes himself as a “decent writer and pretty good photographer.” He’s involved in American Civil War history and serves on the Board of Kennesaw State University’s Center for the Study of the Civil War Era. He’s served on the boards of Atlanta’s Theatrical Outfit, Crossroads Center for the Homeless and his neighborhood association. A lover of sports, he’s an Atlanta Braves and Georgia Tech football fan. Mike is a graduate of Indiana State University and is a former United States Marine. He lives in Atlanta, GA
